There are many types of computers available on the market today. The most common computer is the personal computer (PC), which is mainly used personally or in small businesses.
- A personal computer is a computer designed for the use of one person at a time. Personal computers are used in the workplace to create documents, manage business records, and communicate with others.
- It is used in schools for teaching lessons, researching the Internet, and working on assignments.
- You can also use the computer to play games, watch videos, and listen to music.
- According to the size and purpose of the personal computer, it can be divided into three different types: desktop, laptop, and tablet.
- You choose it according to the type of work you want to do on the computer. For example, if you want to use the computer to edit photos or play complex games, you’ll need a computer with a fast CPU and a good display adapter.

Desktop computers can run continuously for long periods of time.
Laptop computers are lightweight personal computers. Laptop computers are smaller in size than desktop computers and are designed to be carried anywhere. Laptop computers are also called notebook computers.The main feature of laptop computers is that they are small and portable. As the name suggests, the user can easily keep them on his lap. Desktop computers run on electricity, while laptop computers run on electricity or rechargeable batteries. Laptop computers, however, consume more energy than desktop computers with a similar setup to their hardware. Laptop computers do all the same things as desktop computers, but often the cost of laptop computers is higher than that of desktop computers.
Tablet computers are fully functional computers that allow you to write directly on the screen using a tablet pen. You can also use the tablet pen to perform the functions of a mouse. Therefore, no keyboard or mouse is required on tablet computers.
