The Start menu is divided into three parts:
Step 1: The large tea pane shows a small list of programs installed on your computer. You can click All Programs to see all the programs installed on your computer. Any program that is installed is automatically added to the All-Programs list.
Step 2: The Start Search box is in the lower left corner. You can use this search box to find files or open programs by typing in an appropriate search term. The Start Search box searches all programs, files, and folders on your computer for a word, including e-mail messages, saved instant messages, appointments, and contacts.Step 3: You can use the various links in the right pane to access folders, files, settings, features, and to lock, log off, or shut down the computer. For example, you can use the Documents link to open the Documents folder, where you store and share your documents. Use the Control Panel to control various aspects of the operating system and hardware, such as setting the system time and date, adding or removing programs, and troubleshooting hardware and software-related problems. If you have any questions about the operating system, you can use the Help and Support link.
