The Web refers to the collection of information accessible over the Internet; this information is in the form of text, images, and sound. Which is organized logically and which is stored on computers called web servers. The web is a very popular service on the Internet. Many people use the words web and internet in the same sense, but technically, these are two different words. The internet collects many computers and creates a network on which one computer can talk to another computer. However, the web is a way of viewing and sharing information on the Internet using a web browser. The table given below talks about the components of the computer.
Description:
- A web browser is a software program that allows you to access various resources on the web.
- Browsers can view and interact; an example of a widely used web browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, which displays both text and graphics.
- Some browsers, like Internet Explorer 7 (Internet Explorer Seven), provide a new feature called tabbed browsing for better web browsing. Using tabs, you can view multiple websites in one browser window and move from one web site to another easily.
- Some web sites contain content in the form of animations, videos, or audio files.
- To view these files, you need additional programs called add-ons.
- An add-on is a software program that adds features to your browser and improves your Internet viewing experience.
- Add-ons provide additional functionality to a web browser by allowing it to use and play files included in a web page.
- For example, Microsoft Silverlight is a browser add-on that is required to view high-quality video using web browsers. Examples of some browsers:
- A web page is a formatted text document on the web that a web browser can display.
- Most web pages on the Internet allow you to jump to another web page quickly.
- You can do this by clicking any hyperlink, commonly called a link. On clicking the link, a new web page opens in the web browser.
- You can access existing web pages or create and publish new web pages on the web.
- You can create web pages using a software language called Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).
- Web browsers use HTML to display web pages. Hypertext is a method of linking one text to another that allows you to easily browse related, non-sequential topics on the same page or on other web pages.
.
- Web site: A web site is one or more web pages that are located on a single server.
- This server is known as a web server, and it is connected to the internet.

- Bing is one of the most popular search engines.
