Lecture 2 – MS Excel
MS Excel is an electronic spreadsheet which is use to organize your data into rows and columns, you can also use it to perform mathematical calculations.
In the end of this lecture participants are expected to know how to use the MS Excel :
- Enter text and numbers in the spreadsheet.
- Enter excel formulas.
- Save the spreadsheet.
- Open the Existing File.
MS Excel consists of worksheet. Each worksheet contains column and rows.
- The columns are lettered from A to Z and then countinuing with AA , AB, AC, AD, and so on.
- The rows are numbered from 1 to 1048576.
The combination of Row coordinate and column coordinate is known as a Cell. You enter your data into the cells on the worksheet.
